What is a Life Line?
A safety plan for a single trip. It holds your itinerary, accommodation, trusted contacts, and any personal details that could help someone help you. Activated only if you miss a check-in.
Why not WhatsApp?
WhatsApp works for staying in touch, but it relies on you remembering to message and on someone noticing when you don't. Messages scroll away, time zones get in the way, and there's no structured plan for what to do if you go silent. A Life Line is different: set it once, check in with one tap, and your trusted contacts receive organised trip details and instructions only when a check-in is missed.
Why not Google Drive?
A shared folder can hold documents, but it doesn't know when you need help, won't remind you to check in, and won't alert anyone on its own. Someone still has to remember the folder exists and think to open it. SWKnow connects your trip information to a daily check-in and automatic notification, so the right details reach your trusted contacts at the right moment.
Why no live tracking?
Safety and surveillance are not the same thing. Live tracking means someone, or a company, can watch where you are at all times. SWKnow takes a different approach: you share where you're staying and check in once a day. If you don't, your trusted contacts are notified with the information you prepared. You stay independent. They stay informed, only when it matters.
Who is notified if I miss a check-in?
Only the trusted contacts you've added. They receive what you choose to share. Nothing more.
What happens if I forget to check in?
We send you a reminder first. If you still don't check in after your grace period, your trusted contacts are notified with your Life Line details.
Do I need to install an app?
No. SWKnow works in your browser on any phone, tablet or computer.
How much does it cost?
During the private beta, SWKnow is free. We'll introduce simple, fair pricing when the product is ready.
